Ashton Edwards

Ashton Edwards (they/them) is from Flint, Michigan. They studied at the Flint School of Performing Arts and Pacific Northwest Ballet School and attended summer courses at Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Houston Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Ashton began their pointe training in the pandemic later acclimating it into their curriculum in the PNB Professional Division Program. Ashton joined the Pacific Northwest Ballet company as an apprentice in 2021 and was promoted to corps de ballet in 2022.

Since joining the Ashton has performed leading roles in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® (Candy Cane, Dewdrop); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck); and Justin Peck’s Times Are A Racing (Pas de deux). They originated feature roles in Dwight Roden’s Catching Feeling and Andrea Miller’s Mango.

Ashton is a recipient of the National ACT-SO competition Bronze medal in 2018 and Silver in 2019 for Dance (Ballet). Ashton is also a recipient of the 2021 Princess Grace Award. Ashton was also on the cover of the July 2021 Dance Spirit Magazine.
